Observatory

The Root always has the aim of encouraging creativity and learning with whatever we do. We are in the middle of building a structure that appears from the outside to be a grain silo but in reality is a three-story building that contains an ever-growing library and an observatory at the top. The roof of the silo spins on bearings and has an opening so that once inside, you can see every part of the sky. With this project we hope to ignite curiosity in people of all ages and from all backgrounds. A good telescope is the heart of a good observatory because it allows you to make your own observations and discoveries. We are excited to learn more about our universe with our own hands, in our own front yard.
